WELCOME TO MAMA DULUTH
As a homeschool mom, I have always believed in the philosophy of "educate and illustrate," crafting lessons that are as engaging as they are educational. Inspired by Waldorf education and their use of art in teaching, my approach encourages students to keep their sketch pads close while exploring all subjects, blending creativity with learning.
As a lifelong creative with over 25 years of experience as an abstract artist, my work is driven by a passion for both art and education. Through my books and artwork, I aim to inspire others to see the world differently through a lens of imagination and curiosity. I also deeply value the rich history and educational opportunities that Duluth offers, which is why I’ve included a dedicated field trip section on this website. Here, you’ll find historical insights and ideas for local explorations that bring learning to life.
This website is a resource for educators and parents, with ready-made materials to enhance lesson plans and spark creativity. I hope you find inspiration here to make learning an adventurous and artistic journey.
Warmly,
Amy
